Jan chose this site for the view of the theater and the town water tank in the distance. The sun glittering from the Art Deco steel awning made for a nice highlight against the dark doorway beneath it. There were a number of people out walking on the sidewalk and enjoying the warm weather. The artist endeavored to capture a passing car and the other parked vehicles as they came and went. The off-kilter power poles added some interest to the scene, and bright spots of a yellow fire hydrant and blue telephone booth added color.
